A short film was recently discovered from a 1973 Star Trek convention held at the the Statler Hilton Hotel in New York City. It’s a fascinating find, even if you’re not a Trekkie, with weird and wonderful participants and renowned science fiction authors such as Isaac Asimov revealing the importance of the series. It’s incredible, but given the hopeful philosophy that launched the series, perhaps not surprising that the franchise continues to this day.
