Japan Rockabillly Rock Out. (Fashion/Music)

Japan’s latest adoption and subsequent re-mix of an American subculture is the Rockabilly/ Greaser phenomenon, and like all things in Tokyo it is both strange and wonderful. Peter Bjorn & John‘s new video for Nothing to Worry About captures it all in the following video.

Here’s another from the same band. It’s that whistle-infused snappy breakout hit they had last year or something. Kind of sweet and innocent, and the drawings remind me of 70s style emergency manuals in the back seats of airplanes.
