Rockin’ Jelly Bean is an illustrator based out of Tokyo, Japan. His style is as unmistakable as his appearance. The rare times he appears in public, he has a penchant for wearing an outlandish owl-like Mexican wrestling mask complete with feathers, along with a bevy of beautiful women at his side. In the event of a gallery opening of his work, he usually performs 60s surf rock on stage while wearing a jumpsuit (see above photo). His visual style, when it comes to his painting, is largely influenced by a mixture of American pop culture from the 60s and 70s with some Eastern influences from his childhood. Read a great interview with the elusive artist here. Check out some of his work below, along with a great profile courtesy of HypeBeast TV. Above photo courtesy of Deus Ex.
