Photographer and Filmmaker Lyle Owerko, originally from Calgary and now living in NYC, has a visual catalogue of the iconic boombox from the early 80s. I still have mine – although my friends and I called them Ghetto Blasters. I think it’s in my bathroom cupboard. It was pretty bad ass. I got it when I was 12. Check out the collection here.
