In this current age of 3D, CGI multi-million dollar technology, it’s sometimes nice to know that sometimes the pen really still is mightier than the sword. Here’s a great new video for a pretty decent track that incorporates the time honoured art of the flipbook.
I also stumbled on a few other great examples of flipbook goodness. This one’s got a kung-fu slash hip hop flavour to it, and gets presented in a creative, “hands-on” style.
Here’s another really neat short film done entirely on yellow sticky notes. Looks like it took several years to get done, and highlights the personal battles of a young, mixed race filmmaker and global current affairs issues. Recommended.
And finally, I have a reason to post the following clip courtesy of the incomparable Benicio Del Toro in The Usual Suspects.
