I recently came across an excellent interview with Filmmaker Alexander Perlman who just completed his first documentary Lot Lizard. After spending a few months hitchiking from New York City to San Francisco, he met a sex worker during a chance encounter and came up with his idea for a film. Now, he claims, he has post traumatic stress disorder from the pain and heartache he witnessed first hand while making the doc. It certainly looks dark and riveting.
