It’s pretty exciting when someone bows out of the limelight and then returns with a vengeance seemingly out of the blue. Such moments don’t come all too often from folks like Neneh Cherry whose breakout album Raw Like Sushi came out in 1989 (an astonishing 24 years ago- wow I feel old). Her new album, The Cherry Thing, produced by Four Tet and featuring Robyn, will be her first solo effort in over 16 years, and is out now.
