Making Tracks: Documentary Explores Chicago’s Footwork Scene. (Music History)

Back in 2007, Chicago rappers Tragic and Upmost AKA Dude n Nem, released a music video for their track Watch My Feet, featuring some of the earliest examples of Chicago footwork, although it could be argued it’s another derivative of Juke or Chicago Juke; a product of the Ghetto House scene. In any case it’s kind of a fusion of house and hip hop with often with a battle involved. Making Tracks is a short documentary that explores Chicago’s Footwork scene featuring battles and performances from last summer. Read more over here.
