Lou Reed has passed away yesterday. He was one of the biggest influences on tons of kids, some of whom started their own bands, and later became famous. Lou was kind of the definition of cool. It’s pretty rare for an artist who never loses his edge or sells out in the traditional sense. I was lucky enough to catch him play at a free concert he did in Rome in the late 90s, so at least I had the chance to walk on the wild side with him once.
