I caught an interview with photographer Brandon Stanton last week on Q. After hearing it, I needed to find out more about him. In a nutshell, he lost his job as a trader in the stock market and subsequently moved to New York City to shoot strangers on the street. Sounds crazy right? Well it turns out the the risky premise has paid off in the end. Since launching his Humans in New York blog in 2010, he’s released a book, gone to Iran, and been blowing up large ever since. What’s so great about his blog aren’t just the pictures of themselves; which are every bit as wonderful as the everyday people inhabiting the big apple; it’s the often very personal things that people share about themselves. Check out some of his pictures below, and go here to see more.
