The Punk Singer: New Doc Exposes Bikini Kill’s Rebel Grrrl. (Documentary)


The Punk Singer is a new documentary that covers Kathleen Hanna‘s journey from an average college kid to one of the most important figures of the Riot Grrrl movement in the early 90s. The film, directed by Sini Anderson, follows the life of former singer for Bikini Kill, a band known for it’s pro feminism and counter culture rejection of major labels and mainstream media.
