Photographer Peter Beste and writer Lance Scott Walker teamed up and spent 8 years researching and documenting the hip hop scene in Houston, Texas. They came up with Houston Rap; a definitive collection of the makers and shakers on the Houston scene. Just in time for the holidays, you can order the deluxe edition here for all you rap aficionados. It includes a 7″ record, poster, a copy of Ghetto Dreams; a documentary on DVD and tons more. If you don’t want to splurge, check the standard book here. Check out a visual summary of the book below, along with some pretty stunning images courtesy of Peter Beste; who, by the way, has previously spent some time shooting some crazy pictures of the Norwegian Black Metal scene.
