Inspired by the recent breakup of one iconic robotic duo and a not so recent video series from Kirby Ferguson. In art school, they teach you that everything is made up of the same design elements. Lines, circles and blocks. Music isn’t all that different. I take a deep dive into some of the early progressive house anthems played at Toronto’s 23 Hop and deconstruct them in order to reveal roots steeped in Twilight Zone disco and funk.
