Time Standing Still: The Back To The Future Photo Project. (Photography)

“Time is the longest distance between two places.”
– Tennessee Williams

Irina Werning is an Argentinian photographer based out of Buenos Aires. Her Back to the Future photographic project is an intriguing yet simple premise of re-creating old photographs of subjects in present tense. The results are stunning, and often produce a mixture of feelings for the audience. There’s of course a deep appreciation and marvel of the painstaking attention to detail, but for me there’s also a kind of melancholy attached to memory and how quickly time passes over all of us.
