The Great American Pin Up Artist :: Gil Elvgren.

After getting his formal training at the American Academy of Art, Gil Elvgren went on to become one of the most recognizable illustrators in popular culture. His specialty was the pin up girl, and he worked for companies like General Motors and Coca Cola from the 1930s all the way up to the early 70s.
