A Stitch In Time: The Fine Art of Embroidered Photography. (Fashion)

That shoebox of old photographs in your attic isn’t just a collection of old memories. It can, in fact become a very real portal to a moment in time that you can connect with. Embroidered Photography is an art form where artists hack into moments and find a way to re-interpret or re-imagine events. Here are 3 artists that have adopted needles as their tools. Berlin based, Diane Meyer takes a pixellated approach, while Cargo Collective’s Jose Romussi re-interpretes Rocio Aguirre’s black and whites portraits with bursts of colour. Finally, Tokyo artist Mana Morimoto seems to take tongue and cheek tactics to historical and sometimes iconic figures.
