Etienne Lavie: Paris Artist Hijacks Advertisements. (Art/Culture)

Paris based artist Etienne Lavie has embarked on a street art campaign with the simple premise of replacing ordinary billboard advertisements with extraordinary classic works of art. The exhibit, hilariously titled “OMG Who Stole My Ads“, has no doubt drawn the ire of big business, but to the average passerby on the street, I would imagine alot of wonder and amazement. It makes you imagine how different the world would be without the ads that surround us every day, trying to convince us to purchase products we don’t need.
